Family of grandmother who died from Legionella on Ibiza holiday cleared to hold funeral after cause of death finally confirmed

The family of a Cardiff grandmother who died on holiday in Ibiza can finally lay her to rest after having official confirmation she died from the deadly Legionella bug.
Nearly three weeks after her family have finally received a death certificate translated into English.
“The certificate says the fundamental cause of death was Legionella pneumonia,” said Lynne’s grieving daughter Emma Takata.
Although they had a confirmation of death, in Spanish, from the hospital where she was treated, the family had to wait for an official death certificate before arranging a funeral.
They say they cannot understand why it took so long and the delay has added to their distress.
Spanish doctors diagnosed Lynne with Legionella infection at the town’s hospital while Kathleen tested negative at a private hospital, but was so ill she remained in hospital for several days.
